CRITICAL*HIT

Alex is the proprietor of CRITICAL*HIT, a used retro video game store located in Nagoya, Japan, first opened in 2014. The shop houses over 1,200 retro games from the 8-bit era onward, alongside the original hardware needed to test any titles you may be interested in purchasing. As CRITICAL*HIT is not a bar, do not expect it to have Happy Hour from 5:00pm until 7:00pm, Tuesday through Saturday, nor should you expect this to include discounts on delicious Heartland draft beer, bottled beer, and dozens of cocktails.

As a result of one too many flaky dolts, reservations require a deposit of ¥10,000, paid in cash, at least one day in advance. This deposit goes toward your group’s total bill. If you cannot show up within 30 minutes of your reservation time, the reservation and money are forfeit. If you still want to make a reservation, you can do so through CRITICAL*HIT’s Twitter account. You can also just give us a call before you want to drop by to check seat availability!

We are a smoke-free establishment, although vape and iQos are allowed. You may bring your kids as long as they are at least 20 years old.
